Cookie Policy
Last Updated: 11/7/2026
Python Studio aims to minimize tracking and respects your privacy. This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.
1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
We use essential cookies to make our application work. These cannot be disabled in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you, such as logging in.
- Authentication: We use secure, HTTP-only cookies to maintain your logged-in session securely using NextAuth.
- Security: We may use cookies to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks.
2. Local Storage and IndexedDB
Because Python Studio runs a full Python environment in your browser, we heavily rely on your browser's local storage capabilities (like IndexedDB):
- Pyodide Cache: We cache the WebAssembly binaries and Python standard library in your browser to make subsequent loads much faster.
- Editor State: We may temporarily save your unsaved code in LocalStorage to prevent data loss if you accidentally close the tab.
3. Third-Party Analytics and Tracking
We currently do not use non-essential tracking cookies or third-party advertising networks. There is no need for a complex cookie consent banner because we do not track your browsing behavior across other sites or sell your data.
4. Managing Your Preferences
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept essential authentication cookies, you will not be able to log in and save your progress on Python Studio. You can clear your IndexedDB and LocalStorage at any time via your browser's developer tools if you wish to wipe the cached Python environment.
