Data Deletion Policy

Last Updated: 11/7/2026

If you wish to delete your data from Python Studio, follow the instructions below depending on the type of data.

1. Local Browser Data (Cache & Editor State)

Because Python Studio runs Python locally in your browser, a significant portion of the execution environment (Pyodide) and some editor state is saved directly on your device. To delete this data:

  • Open your browser's Developer Tools (usually F12).
  • Navigate to the Application or Storage tab.
  • Select Clear site data to wipe all IndexedDB and LocalStorage associated with Python Studio.

2. Account and Progress Data

Your account profile, learning progress, gamification statistics, and saved projects are stored securely on our servers.

Currently, an automated "Delete Account" button is not available in the user dashboard. To request the complete and permanent deletion of your account and all associated server-side data, please submit a request to the developer.

3. What Happens Upon Deletion?

  • Your authentication record is removed.
  • All project files, learning progress, and experience points (XP) are permanently erased.
  • This action is irreversible. We do not retain backups of deleted user accounts.
